I won’t be renewing my membership and I doubt biki cares but it’s just a lesson to me and I hope someone reads this review and finds it useful before using this app.An imprint of the Chicago Review Press. It’s a pretty scummy way to get money from your customers. They even know that this is an issue but they don’t care and will hide behind their “Terms of Use” which is legally fine but that’s not a great way to do business. They charged me $103 for a bike ride that I took that was actually only 10 minutes but because the bike wasn’t docked properly they charged me for 13 hours. The bikes aren’t great I was riding in the rain and the handle grip slid off and I fell onto the pavement because my other hand pushed the front wheel sideways.īut my main issue with them is that their customer service is basically useless. Original: Customer service can’t do anything Possibly on the app before I saw the charge on my card. I’ll leave it at 4 stars because it was surprising and I would have appreciated a heads up before the charge. They called me a day after I talked with the first biki representative over the phone. A quick call and it was very professional. I’ll leave it there because I was wrong and I appreciate the follow up from biki customer service to let me know that I’d be refunded and it will be back into my account within 48 hours. Mothers, don’t let your kids on them, and certainly don’t let them grow up to be Biki statistics.Įdit:Original review was very negative and it’s found below because that was what my original experience. I cannot recommend, not even for one casual ride. Really disappointed!!!! After reading reviews, I will make sure to double-check my credit card statement for overcharges. There are a whole host of other problems. Unpleasant, but not potentially deadly like some of their other problems-no worries, you’ll dry quickly most days. They are cracked and retain moisture after rain. Minor peeve: Seats almost all have sun damage. Once a day? Week? Month? Come on, get with it!! This is even more ‘life and death’ than the other “accidents” you should expect to suffer with these bike shares. Hand holds fall off, bells rarely work, brakes almost never function up to acceptable specs and in this time of pandemic, you’d think they could keep the bikes clean. Reviewed after 280 minutes of use, about a dozen (12) rides: App okay to good, but bikes are dangerous
